I've been singing "Frosty the Snowman" like crazy!
Here's why...
Here's why...
....There must have been some magic in that old top hat they found!...
It's a 4 1/2 inch square gift box (pizza box style opening)
The box will fit several 4 2/8 inch cards & their envelopes
(There are directions here for the pizza style box construction, if you'd like
and a tutorial for a top-opening version in the same size here.)

The Tree, Top Hat, & Snowman from Celebitties doodles:
4 Seasons Definition set
(for the acrylic textured paper)
4 Seasons Definition set
(for the acrylic textured paper)
-2-
- Purple Onion Designs stamps (linked above)
- White 100 lb paper (for the gift box)
- Book paper & Patterned paper (Basic Grey)
- Angel's Landing Button Bugs Swirl
- Black & White Pigment ink
- Clear & White embossing powder
- Silver & Sakura Souffle gel pens
- Sakura Quickie glue pen & clear glitter
- Double-sided tape & Tombow Monomulti
- Paper & piercer needle
- Thread (white for snow knots silver for snow swirls)
Step 1) Randomly stamp & emboss the trees from Celebitties--in white.
Step 2) Colour some of the tree trunks in with silver & some with white souffle pen.
Step 3) Print the hill templates (if you like) or draw your own curvy hills & cut them out.
Step 4) Make patterned hills: Trace hills A & C templates onto book paper or patterned paper. Cut 'em out.
Step 5) Texturize the hills:
A) Paint the hills with white acrylic paint.
B) Press the P.O.D. winter definition stamp into the wet paint & let dry.
C) Stamp over the hills with Antique Ledger background stamp and emboss with white embossing powder.
D) Emboss the middle hill (hill B) with the P.O.D. Late 1800's Script background stamp and more white embossing powder.
(please note: stamping acrylic paint makes such delightful texture but you'll want to clean acrylic paint off of your stamp right away, since the paint sets up quickly. I like a soft tooth brush & dish soap for cleaning.) :o)
Step 6) Pierce snow swirls. I used the swirl from Angel's Landing Button Bugs digital set (as a paper piecing template for the silver stitched snow swirls)
Step 7) Stitch the snow swirls.
Step 8) Make the snowman:
A) Stamp the snowman (from P.O.D. Celebitties) in black pigment ink.
B) Emboss it in clear embossing powder.
C) Cut it out & Colour with Copic markers (Frost blue B00.)
D) Cover the snowman in Sakura quickie glue pen & add clear glitter.
Step 9) Make Paper pieces: emboss the scarf & the teensy ear muff--from the snowman.
Stamp the hat in black pigment ink & emboss in clear (the hat is also from Celebitties.) Paper piece the hat band & add glitter.
Step 10) Assemble the hills & snowman on the box and add the hat:

false blanket stitch
As an afterthought, I really wanted the black sewing along the side of the
mat to be in a blanket stitch, but I haven't a clue how to do that as an after thought and it takes too long (even for kooky moi, LOL) So.... I just stitched normal stitches and then...
...added the tricky bits with a very fine black permanent marker:
It makes neat squares that you can colour with Copics, if ya want.

Hope you have the best day!
