This was such a fun image to play with!
Martha (of myGrafico fame) kindly asked me to play along with their challenges this month. This week, the challenge was to use the playful images from the Funky Summer Flamingo set by Jehanne. The theme was retirement...
This is what I'd like to do when I retire
(in between paper crafting, of course!)
The Funky Flamingo image is printed, paper pieced,
& coloured with copic markers.
The water was really easy to make. The shimmery paper behind the image is from Paper Temptress & it did all the work. It's called Retro Silver Lustre & it has the waves built in. ;o) I tinted the waves with Copic markers & adhered the works to a very simple rectangular box.

To get the embossed retirement text (customizable by typing it in any text document)...I just brushed some matte medium onto cardstock, printed the typewriter text, & heat embossed it in clear embossing powder.
Hope you can play along with
the challenge too!
or if you just want some inspiration...
check out the gorgeous work of the myGrafico team here.
