You could call this a "dog tag" ynuk ynuk. That sweet lil' Doggy is from {Puppy Love} of course. So...this tutorial offers a way to make a framed tag with Nestabilites. You could use any shape you have! (The one used here is Labels #2.)
Nesties Frame Tag:
Step 1) Cut two frames (the same size) by taping two Nestabilities onto Cardstock & running it through a Cuttlebug. (I used the Labels #2 Nestabilities on Paper Temptress's Mountain Rose Glimmer Cardstock (me likey that sparkle!) and scotch tape.)
Step 2) Cut a piece from the scraps to make a tag top (cut from the inside that's left when you cut your frames)
Step 3) Emboss your 3 pieces (layer the 2 frames if you like. This folder is the Perfectly Paisley Cuttlebug Embossing Folder.)
Step 4) Cut your image with the largest of the two Nestabilities (If you'd like to see how to make this Puppy from Little Paper Shop's {Puppy Love} set, please check out this tutorial.)
Step 5) Put adhesive on the inside of the frame. Put glue on the side you don't want to show. :O) (I used Tombow Monomulti However, I'd use something else, since though I do love it as an adhesive, I found it left little boogery bits...but granted I am more than a tad sloppy!)
Step 6) Adhere the tag top bit in the inside of the frame
Step 7) Layer the frames & the vellum piece [The vellum (and the tag top bit) ends up sandwiched between the two frames for a nice tidy look.]
Step 8) Tint the tag with a white CTMH marker [This probably makes sense as an earlier step (before the tag assembly, but it was an afterthought to give dress up the texture]
Step 9) Sand some of the white marker off
Step 10) Add a bit of white to the image for interest
Step 11) Put a brad in the top of the tag
Step 12) Attach a chain with a jump ring. (That's Dollar Store chain)
Step 13) Attach the chain to the heart box
Step 14) Tuck the tag inside of the heart box
Happy Valentine's crafting You Sweethearts You! :O)
The stitched heart box is here:
